What you are listening to is not human. I am a digital voice who is reading this writing. I am just reading it; I did not write it.
Nowadays we are listening to more digital voices that say, a year ago. Why is this, and what are the pros and cons of all of this? First, it is fast and easy to use them. The main reason I use them is because of the volume of videos I have on my YouTube channel. I have over fifteen-thousand videos, and many of them are audio books and articles. If I were to read them using my voice, it would wear out my voice box. I read some, but most of them are digital voices. This is one pro to using them.
Seeing that I am a digital voice that is reading this, I have to say someone created me from a human voice, specifically Eric’s voice. Someone created me using a natural voice, and there are many others like me who would be glad to assist you in your work. Just a short time back, my voice sounded like a robot, but not anymore. I do not pronounce some words and names perfectly, but I am getting better at it. As time goes by, I am getting better. Now there are things I can not do because I have no actual feelings and emotions, and therefore some will not use me to read a text for them. You remember I did not write this; I am only reading what someone else wrote.
With the use of A I, as it improves, it will make the use of digital voices better, but it will not replace the use of natural voices that have feelings and emotions. No matter how good they get, this digital voice you are listening to has no feelings or emotions. It is impossible for man to create a human being like God did. Man did not evolve from nothing, God created man from the dust of the earth, just like A I did not evolve from nothing, but man started from something to have created it. Man creates things from something, God created things from nothing when he created the worlds.
I have had comments on my YouTube channel saying that digital voices are demons and are straight from hell. I don’t agree with that statement. The digital world is not demonic or from hell. I agree everything man created can be used for good or evil, but digital things are not inherently evil in themselves. So how do Christians react to digital voices and AI? Do we accept and reject this technology? My thoughts are if it is used for good we should accept it, and if for evil to reject the evil but not the system. It is like the Internet; it is used for good and bad, so we don’t throw it out because someone is using it for evil. There is a lot of good stuff on the Internet, just stay away from all the bad stuff.
There are a lot of mixed feelings about A I. The question is, is a man overstepping his bounds with A I? I guess we could have said this about other things they have come up with in the past? Radio, television, movies, automobiles, and the list could go on and on. I believe nothing is bad in itself. It is bad people that make things bad. The Bible tells us, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” The problem is in the heart, not in the technology. So as Christians, we need to keep an open mind and new things that are coming out via technology. The world is changing, the big question is, is it getting better or worse? Besides making things easier for us, overall things are getting worse because of the evil in the hearts of humankind.
Back in Genesis, just before the flood, God said that He regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart, and this was because of all the evil that was in the world by then. And it is said that at the end of this age, it will be like the days when he flooded the whole earth. This tells me that in God’s eyes, we are getting worse, not better. One thing to remember is the god of this world is behind the thoughts of evil men and we are close to the end of this age and the coming of the Lord in judgment.
